Black Bass are “slow to go” Finesse Rigs, Drop Shot and Senkos. Slow fall jigs can be a lethal weapon. Inconsistent weather has these fish confused not to mention the water clarity hasn’t helped.

Stripers are biting and I hear some are pretty big. Franks track and Big Break is the buzz. Adrian at Hook Line & Sinker said that “hollow bellies and rattle traps have been working the best”. He also clued me in about using a weight less fluke.

Water temperatures are reaching 54 degrees and it is definitely time for the fish to commit to their pre spawn pattern

North end: Spinner Baits, hollow swim baits, and rip baits. Fish 8′-10′ water- fish off colored water.

Main Lake: Flip bite- Jigs (brown, orange with purple), Senkos on tule, docks and wood

Troy at Clear Lake outdoors says “we’re only days of way from it being wide open!” He also offered me a tip that I’m going to share with you. Throw a in Line- 7″ to 9″ osprey lite hitch color. Big Fish are sitting at the old lake level- off shore

Fishing is on fire. I talk with several anglers; they all caught fish by using different tactics. Tucker and I have been on the water ourselves, and the numbers have been nice.

Action: spinner baits, jerk baits, rattle traps, jigs and cranks

Plastics: drop shot, Carolina rigs, tubes, shaky head and finesse
